As many of you know, I’m currently in school (Amridge U from Bama), teaching and preaching Sunday and finally MOVING this Thursday out to Knott, Tx. I’m excited about the new start and we are thankful to the many people that have been praying for God’s will in our lives. I’m still trying to figure out what all He’s doing with us, but we are grateful for how good he has been to us! In the last two days we have been handed, tons of awesome kitchen stuff, new dishes, coffee maker, kitchen aid mixer and finally keys to a 06 colorado truck! We are humbled and honored!!! How do you respond to such great givers and all three supporters did it Monday (8/30) and Tuesday (8/31). Please continue to pray for us as we transition into this new ministry! And as the name indicates, we want to do His will above all else!

Over the past month we have been visiting the existing churches to evaluate where they are and what direction we might take in helping them along on their journeys. Many right now are experiencing the growing pains of maturing in Christ and are frustrated by this. Relating the phases to the seasons of the year, it seems like a spiritual winter for many. No doubt the recent transitions (including our absence during the last year) have influenced these feelings. Not everyone is headed this way, but there is a large camp that wants to hunker down and huddle together to conserve heat and energy. We pray that the void they feel now will take them closer to God. At times it is discouraging for us as well, but we are hopeful that (just as the seasons change) God will bring them into the fun of spring and summer. Right now we think it is important that they understand that seasons come and go naturally, and that there is good that takes place in every season.

Ben and others have stared ten new cells this week. WE are blessed to see God at work in places that are not common, and we pray that these men and women would step up to be like Christ. It is this new era in church that we are concern about the building of his church. So we are following the sermon series from the book of Ezra. It is great!!!
At the same time, some people have been influced by others to stay away, and be alone. WE ask that you pray for them to join us. And to repent of their behaviors, and wrong trusting of God.
thanks for all the help!
Teaching WED - Acts!
Posted August 27th, 2010 by Sunset AlumniThis article was aggregated from Omar and Tana Palafox.
This WED we stared the book of Acts. In the past we used Matthew, Hebrews, and James. But since we desire to let some of the principles from the first century church be brought to light, Luke does a great job in the book of Acts.
Pray that those who started will continue. And also that those who love God will be willing to learn to tell others.

The Leon Sur is looking for Elders! Please apply soon. For six years has this church existed, and the leadership biblical is by plural men. So we have decided to start a new way of making choices. Started a few months ago with a retreat. Three men are in target. But also some four men have stepped up to lead in worship, administration, organization, and more. So we are glad to see men start to be leaders with the church.
