Behailu: A Servant of God

Behailu teaching in EthiopiaTruman Scott was acquainted with the ministry of Behailu Abebe in Ethiopia from the beginning, when the congregation in Stockton, California, where Truman and Ferne were members and where they married, sponsored the first missionaries to Ethiopia in 1961. He was associated in ministry with many of the workers in Ethiopia across the years.

Solar Event Phase III in Spanish

Receiving a Solar PlayerOver the past 15 months, funds have been collected, lessons have been translated and SD cards have been loaded. Now it is time for thanksgiving to God. Last year a few deliveries were made, but most of the 3,000 solar players for Phase III will be delivered in the next few months.

Immigration is a politically and emotionally charged subject with very passionate voices speaking on all sides of the issue. The American media has been filled with images of demonstrations and protestors. The numbers are staggering.

Bob Anderson“Please see me!” was the theme of Bob Anderson’s talk at the 2017 Sunset Workshop banquet. “The Deaf speak with their hands, their eyes, their hearts, their body language. They want to be seen and heard.” Bob has been a part of the Sunset deaf program for 35 years, but his story didn’t begin in a classroom at Sunset. It began on a pew in a small church in Chicago on March 1, 1942.
