Hello all,

We made it to Brazil!  We are enoying our first layover (here in Manaus) since the trip began early yesterday morning.  Our flight to Belem begins boarding at 4 am.  All of our bags made it here and through customs, the only hang up was here in Manaus.  They wouldnt let us carry on Josiahs car seat because it was too big to fit through their xray machine.  Thank you all for your prayers, and we will update you more as we have opportunity.

As you are all aware, we had hoped to be on a plane to Brazil today, but as often seems to happen, our time table was fallible.  I have explained the few remaining obstacles in our newsletter.  Thank you all for your faithful support through prayer, encouragement, and finances as well.  If you have any questions or comments about anything in the newsletter shoot me an e-mail.

Ivan & Stefanie Ponce de Leon proudly announce the birth of their son, Ethan Gael.  He was born Wed. Feb. 4 at 9:15am.  He weighed 6 lbs 1 oz and is 19.25" long.
