CH9 Revelation Notes & workbook

CONFUSION IN CHRISTIANITY Generally we all agree that we became sinners by what the first man Adam did. We say that man must come to Jesus having faith that He will save us and repent of our sins or we will burn in hell because … of what some one else did . If we became sinners by what one did , then it is only logical, reasonable, fair, and Biblical that all become saved by what One did. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men unto condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. Romans 5 : 18. Read the whole passage verses 12- 19. Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1: 29. We say, Come to Jesus. The Bible says : No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him … Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come to me, except it were given unto him of my Father. John 6 : 44, 65. We say, Have faith . The Bible says faith is a gift : For by grace are ye save through faith ; and that not of yourselves : it is a gift : not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2 : 8,9. See Romans 12 : 3; Matthew 16: 15-17.

Hoots Family- Newsletter

Hello Brother, Sisters and Friends: Karen and I want to thank all of you for your prayers and love throughout the years. Your prayers are paying off. The Lord's work is blossoming and coming to a head as if it is about to explode. All three congregations that the Lord has used us to get started are doing well and growing. They have become self-supporting and self-sufficient. It is great watching what the Lord has done as we see these congregations working on their own. It leaves us with mixed feelings similar to the feeling of watching your child grow up and move out on their own. Presently, our main concentration is on the Homestead church of Christ. This congregation, at one time, was over 200 members and is down in the thirties. But God has opened their hearts and it is now starting to grow again through us working through J4L (Jesus 4 Life) ministries, which is a youth group of over 170 people ranging from 4 to 29 years old and Redland Christian Academy. We are now reaching to their families, and bringing them to the Homestead congregation. It is a fun church planting, working through the children to reach the parents.

Balancing Our Lives

Caribou Report - A Dad's Duty

This week I read an article that I was sent through email.  It was a book review from The Christian Science Monitor on Thieves in the Temple By G. Jeffrey MacDonald.  The review comments on some very informative issues pointed out in the book.  The comments made and today being Father’s Day made me think more about the duty I have as a father to my children.

Update on Larry Warren

Even though Larry is having confusion and balance problems, He was able to make it to Easter Sunday services with the aid of a wheelchair we were able to borrow.  Even then, his confusion was such that he continued to try to get up and walk when nobody was watching and came close to falling.
