Dear all,
I am wishing God's riches blessings on all of you for the New Year. I am praying that He will be our focus this year and that as we plant He will add the increase to His Kingdom. I appreciate all of you for the support you have given me in the work of the Lord for Central Africa. I am going to Lubbock, Texas January 18-22, 2012 to meet with Tim Burow and will make my schedule for the times I will be in Africa in 2012. This is only possible because you with God's love have made it possible.

Dear all,
First of let me say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I have received so many cards wishing thes same words to me. I almost feel guilty for not sending any to you but I have chosen this year not spend funds on cards and postage but rather give those funds to mission work. Please forgive me if you needed a card from me. It is not that I didn't remember you because I did. May God bless you at this time of year. May you use this time when many are talking about Christ to really share Him with others. I love all of you and it is okay if you don't send me cards but spend it on mission work.
May God give you time to plant His seed every day so He can add the increase in 2012.
God bless
Dan Goodyear

Dear Partners of the Gospel; King David penned these wonderful words for us in Psalm 37:1-3). "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass". As Christians, brethren we have nothing to fear, nothing to be envious about. As long as we continue to trust in the Lord, and live out that trust through obedience, all will be well with and for us. Marvellous words of encouragement as we face the struggles and hardships of life. Remember that Jesus said; "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matt. 10:28). Conversion:

Dear Friends and Brethren:
I am now in South Africa and will preach at Benoni the 4th of April. My first trip out of SA will be to Zimbabwe for 10 days to teach at the Harare school, set-up last August, and to preach in various places in the cities of Harare and Mutare. Plans are to discuss a Sunset association with the preaching school that has been in Mutare since the ‘60's. Pray for this partnership to assist in ministry training.
A visit to Malawi in May is anticipated for some preaching during a campaign to begin a new congregation in the area where property was donated by the chief for a training school. This Sunset-related school is being planned and sponsored by the Green Valley church in Noblesville, Indiana in 2011. Prayers and support are requested for them to accomplish their goals to train more workers for the Kingdom in Malawi.

Greetings.
We rejoice in letting you know that Jacob Achinefu, the Director of NIATS in Nigeria (an associate school of SIBI), has been released and returned his family. A ransom was paid, he was beaten and bruised, but he is grateful to be back with his family and the school there. We rejoice in his release and pray that God will bring a measure of peace to this area so filled with conflict. We at SIBI appreciate your prayers on his behalf. There is a fund to help with the costs incurred in releasing Brother Achinefu. If you are interested, please contact me.

Dear Friends and Brethren:
For some reason, I kept thinking this was a Leap Year and that we’d have a longer month. February always seems to vanish quickly every year anyway. We hope everyone safely survived all the snow and ice that hampered about every State during this short month. I had to postpone 2 speaking appointments in Pikeville, KY area due to snow, not only on the mountains, but on the roads as well. It was just too dangerous to drive there. No doubt, you were as happy to see the bad weather improve somewhat as I was, and that March promises us a bit warmer climate. Don’t know about you, but I am ready for Spring! However, by the time it arrives here, I will be heading south to Africa (March 29th) and into Autumn again. Can’t win ‘em all, now can you?

Dear Brethren,
Your prayers are needed. Jacob Achinefu, the Director of the Nigerian Institute for the Arts and Theological Studies our SIBI associate school in Nigeria, was kidnapped and is being held for ransom. Jacob lives and works on the same compound as Dr Bob Whitaker who was kidnapped earlier and they suspect that it may be the same group of kidnappers. Jacob and the NIATS van were taken while he was on the road to Aba, Nigeria. No demands have been given yet, and I will update you as I know more. Jacob is a faithful preacher, a capable leader and a faithful husband and father of 8. He is also a good friend and co-worker. Kidnappings and tensions have escalated again in this region of Nigeria and prayers are needed for the Christian of Nigeria. I will relay more information as I receive it. Please pray for Jacob and the Achinefu family.

Dear Brethren
Greetings!
I just got back from a six weeks trip to Ethiopia. It was a very productive and successful trip. I was able to travel to the countryside to see the newly planted congregations, conduct leadership workshop, talk to the deaf and KG teachers, visit some of the newly installed water wells and able to clear out the rig and other shipments sent by Healing Hands International. Everything went well and good. Update report of my trip to Ethiopia. Left to Ethiopia: Jan. 11, 10 Return: Feb. 16, 10 (six weeks trip)
