Montgomery Family Update: May 2008

Howdy from El Paso! I hope this letter finds you all well and prospering as your soul prospers. Since our last newsletter, our family has experienced some substantial changes. Over the last few months Alicia and I have discussed the idea of her receiving some treatments from her Dr. in Ft. Worth. They consist of treatments once a week for 6 consecutive weeks. Obviously this was not possible while living in El Paso. Thus, we moved her and Bethany to Brady, Texas a couple of weeks ago. They will be staying with Alicia’s parents, and her dad will be taking her back a forth to Ft. Worth once a week for the treatments. While it is not ideal, we are all doing our best to get settled into the new living situation. Lord willing, we will be back together once we have moved everything to Houston-scheduled for the first week of June. From my perspective, that can’t happen soon enough!

Goracke Update - April

Dear Family & Friends,

Greetings to all of you! The month of April proved to be an exciting month of activities for our family. So without delay I’m going to proceed with what has occurred and what will be happening in the near future… Lord willing!

Meeting Ilina

Greetings. We had a great time of study, fellowship and reunion at our leadership seminar today! The UBI classroom was filled with graduates, students and local Christians for our time of fellowship together. Pictured above is Robert Waller teaching those in attendance about the need for servant leadership. Natasha Maluga is pictured doing her usual excellent job of interpreting. It was so great to see these former students and see that they are still faithfully serving in the Kingdom!

IBIA May Update

I am posting the newsletter for those that are not in my email address book. We are so amazed and encouraged by what God continues to do among and with us. I am humbled and energized to be involved in God's, "Mission Earth." He is constantly out working in the hearts of His harvest. What a privilege and responsibility to be out there with Him. I am encouraged and hope that this lets you see a little bit of what He is doing - from my perspective - in Albania.

A bowl of borscht and a ham and cheese omelet

Greetings. It's been a little dark and dreary in Ukraine. For those in the Lubbock area, sometimes water falls from the sky and these things called clouds fill the air. It's awesome, but dreary and wet. At the end of each month, the students scholarships begin to get a little short and Sasha Maluga (who replaced me as the Dean of Students and an instructor at UBI) cooks borscht for the students, faculty and guests and there is a big banquet in the school kitchen. This really brightened the day and we had a wonderful evening of food and fellowship!

Good News About Reaching the Lost - Jorge Pineda

Dear Brethren,

Thank you for your prayers and vision for the world mission work. I just want to share with you some of the things that are happening with my radio program in South Florida and Cuba. But, first I want to thank World Radio Broadcasters for their support given to my radio program. I also want to thank Tony in Cuba who help us with the radio contacts over there and Rex Morgan for his invitation to join him in this radio adventure. And mainly, thanks to my God who made possible the impossible.

This coming week, I am going to Cuba to teach a seminar organized by the Atlantic International Bible Institute located in Miami, Florida (Branch of Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas), and second, to follow up the progress of our radio program over there. The good news is that the radio programs, already recorded in CDs, are going to be used as an evangelistic tool to reach the lost in the Country. Just below this message, you have some of the e-mails I have received from several radio listeners this month. I am so sorry they are in Spanish, but I am sure some of you will find the way to translate it.

Brumfield's News 4-08

Greetings from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. I hope all of you are doing well and that the Lord is pouring His favorite blessings on you richly.

Back in the "former" USSR

Greetings! Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus!

Memorial - Bradford Hull Morris

We received word in the mail Monday that Bradford Hull Morris died on March 27, 2008 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. He graduated from SSOP in January 1979, from the Graduate Studies in January of 1980 and from the India Studies in January of 1981. The family asked for memory donations be sent to SIBI or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The family wrote this:

Dear Sunset family,
It is with mixed emotions: sadness and thankfulness that we share the passing of Bradford. We are sad as we miss his smile, his sense of humor, his spiritual mentoring, and his knowledge of God’s word. We are also extremely thankful that he has reached his heart filled goal, Victory in Jesus.
Bradford, an alumni of Sunset School of Preaching, cherished his days at the school We trust there are still faculty there that are friends of his. Please share this information with them.
May God continue to bless each and every one of you as you continue to share the gospel around the world.
The family of Bradford Morris

The obituary and note will be placed in the “In Memoriam” book in the Heritage Hall.
