Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ,
Since last Friday night we face many troubles here in Cairo and other big cities in Egypt. As the group of Islamic parties had attacked and destroyed a Coptic Church near Aswan (Upper Egypt) although they have got the official license to re-shape it. As a result of attacking other Churches in the last three months and the government, the army in charge did not take positive action against that. The Christian people made a big walk in front of TV and broadcasting center at Masberoo (very close to the Church building) to express their anger about these events and asking to rebuild the destroyed church and to be given their rights as Egyptian citizens. They gave the government two days to respond to their demands. As there is no response to that thousands of the Christians made the same walk carrying crosses to the same place. The army soldiers with their tanks attached them, went over them and shot fire on them; it really a great massacre happened. Fifty five were killed and 280 were injured. This astonished the all the Christian as they expect to be guarded and protected by their army. After the other Christian tried to flee from the place the big group from the fanatic Muslims pursued them with different things such as rocks, stones, bottle of Molotov and knives. All the Christians are frightened, scared and very depressed for this new situation, even they never send their kids to the school.

Dear Ones,
You may have been following the news concerning flooding in Thailand. More than 300 people died in the flood. 28 provinces are under the water. The pictures of people swimming to get food, water and help are common in the country. All the hospitals in the afflicted areas had to move all the patients to hospitals in other provinces. Many Industrial Parks are flooded. The estimation for the lost is well over 100,000,000,000 Baht.
At this point, the water from the North is reaching Bangkok. Also, it rains is coming down very hard at my house. The sea level will reach the highest point in two days. The water right in front of my house is now more than three feet deep. They expected the water level here will reach six feet. It means that the water on the first floor of my house could be four feet deep. Today, young people from BSLI and RCC came to help me move the furniture from the first floor up to the second floor. The dining table and kitchen items are too heavy to move.

Senior AIM participated in the Levelland campaign during the week of October 10, 2010 (10-10-10) My comments are: 1. Six Senior AIMers participated in the door knocking, letter writing, and personal contact: Rilda Perry, Mary Jenkins, Leta Sarten, Brenda Hall, Cecilia Jones and Stuart Jones 2. Donna Brooks and Philip Abuzeide from the two year track were involved. 3. The area of town included in Jay Kelley's plan was the west side or the lower economic area. Our team visited every door in the area set out by Jay (except for one with a very noisy dog). We left material with the residents about the church, specifically the Austin Street congregation. 4. We had no negative reactions from any of the people who answered the door. All were pleasant. 5. Leta made a contact with one lady who then attended and is now in a Bible Study. 6. Bev Bontrager taught the Ladies class on Wednesday morning with a good attendance. 7. Ron Bontrager presented excellent lessons in the p.m. assembly time at the building.

Brethren,
I have some exciting news! I had asked for prayers when we first arrived in Cuernavaca for a man named Luis who is a Electrician and did some work on our house. When I told him why our family was here he quickly said he had a lot of questions about God. When I asked him if he would be open to sitting down and allowing me to answer those question from the word of God he said "yes". Over the last couple months for various reason we have not been able to get together and it has been frustrating. Sunday the light in my daughter's room stopped working and we thought this will be a great opportunity to call Luis. This morning out of the blue he called me and asked if there was anything he could do around the house. I told him about the light, and asked him about getting together for a meal? He said said that would be great! Thursday he will be here to work on the light so please pray for him and his openness to the truth. YOUR PRAYERS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN GOD'S MISSION IN CUERNAVACA, MEXICO! PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!

Dear friends and family, Allow me to share the story of Marco. I met Marco since the first day we moved to our house, since the beginning we made a connection and often we talked about different things. His curiosity about our family grew as we spent time together and he started asking the questions that probably any missionary wants to be asked. "What do you do for a living?" and "what type of Christian are you?" I compared Marco to the disciple in Acts 10 Cornelius as someone who has been seeking God for a long time as Marco searched in many different places and religions.
Four months ago Marco agreed to read the story of Jesus and then he asked more and more questions about God and His word. The result of all this time of studying and praying is that a couple days ago he came to us as we were playing with our boys and asked if he could be baptized. Today was the day of justification for him and a reminder to us about the grace and love of God for His children.
