Global Leadership Training

Greetings! Glen Gray (pictured above on left with Jay Don and MaryLee Rogers) from the East Brainerd congregation in Chattanooga is here in Ukraine to see the workings of our international schools, to meet with local congregational leaders, and to lay the groundwork for eventual leadership training seminars. Glen is the newest member of our SIBI International team. He is the director of "the Apollos Institute" which is a seminar program to develop international congregational leaders. The goal is to develop effective leaders in local congregations and assist them in being autonomous, biblical and sound leaders. This won't necessarily be focused on preachers, but will focus on developing members of the congregation into capable and equipped leaders. This is a great need in the brotherhood and will be a blessing to the nations.
Glen has been teaching a short series on the baptism of the Holy Spirit (a much needed course of study in Ukraine) and has been teaching the students in chapel each day. He uses lots of good illustrations and object lessons that I'm sure will be imitated hundreds of times in this area. The students have certainly enjoyed him being here.
On Saturday, UBI will host a special gathering for area preachers, most of which graduated from UBI. Glen, Robert Waller and I will be addressing them on congregational leadership and will be enjoying the fellowship of these great men of God. This will be an important step to initiating the Apollos Institute and will be a blessing to the congregations in Ukraine. What a blessing to participate!
In Him,
