ROMANIAN BIBLE ACADEMY
We are blessed in Romania to have a national preaching school known as the Romanian Bible Academy.  I humbly ask for your prayers as I have been placed on the Executive Board of Directors.  Pray that I will serve in an effective way that will will bring glory to God through the training up of Christians to serve His church in Romania.

WORLD ENGLISH INSTITUTE
The church in Sibiu has taken on a new work to reach lost souls in Sibiu.  We are having a month long campaign with World English Institute.  For the past three months our congregation has been laying the groundwork for our teachers who will work us this summer.  Local Christians have been canvasing beauty parlors, Internet cafes, universities, schools, and a variety of area businesses to invite people to this unique time of study.  Church members have been talking to friends and neighbors. They have spent time placing fliers and posters around town.  Many hours have been dedicated to this task.  Please pray for many souls to be reached through this new evangelistic effort.  This will start in  late June.  We have eighteen students at this writing who have committed to studying over several weeks.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH
I am humbled by the Christians in Sibiu.  We recently had a holiday where all public transportation ceased for the day.  We had one member that lives in a small village outside of Sibiu.  Instead of missing services on Sunday she hitch hiked into town!  Other members literally walk two miles to be at church on Sunday in rain or sunshine.  Members can recall sermons preached over the years and tell you passages, topics, and what year it was preached. It is an honor to work with this congregation of believers.  Please pray that they will continue to mature in their faith.

CAMP RETREAT
Recently young Christians from different parts of Romania came together for a time of study and fellowship at a campsite outside of Cluj.  Over fifty people were in attendance.  Young people were able to build bonds of unity and friendship between the congregations in Romania.

CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH INSTITUTE (VBS)
The church has a unique situation here in Sibiu.  We are able to go into the local high school and share God's word.  We have thirteen teachers coming from the states in July. The church in Sibiu has been in high gear preparing for the summer activities.  We are receiving a great response to the invitations.  Please pray for another successful year in reaching out to children and their families with the message of Jesus

WEEKLY PRAYER GROUPS
There is a weekly prayer group that has been meeting for the past four months on Tuesday afternoons.  It is a time where over an hour is spent praying for the evangelism of Sibiu and the efforts that are being made to reach the lost.

FELLOWSHIP MEALS
It has been a blessing to sit down and break bread with the brethren.  Over the past two months we have a special devotional time where Christians share their joys, struggles, and what would help encourage them in their walk with the Lord.  Through these discussion periods we have been able to implement new ideas to bring the local Christians together in a stronger spirit of unity.

COUNSELING
Romania is still working to come to grips with the wonderful democracy they now enjoy. Their is a rise in materialism among the people and all the problems that come with it.   A lot of my time recently has been spent counseling people from God's word in and outside of the church.

NEW BEGINNINGS IN ROMANIA
I have been apart from my family for three months as preparations are at an end to move my family to Sibiu, Romania.  I will be in the states for two weeks to help my wife with the final preparations.  I am so thankful for the Internet that allowed me to communicate with my family during this difficult period apart.  We are very excited about the opportunities on the mission field of Sibiu and appreciate all the people who have joined us in the work through their prayers and support.

A NEED
Our overseeing congregation has set up a fund for the purchase of a small car.  This will allow me to travel for my work in area villages with the Romanian Bible Academy.  It will give me the opportunity to train future Gospel preachers who cannot afford to come to Sibiu for training.  If you can give in this effort please send your contributions to the address listed above for Ovilla with a notation in the memo section that says, "Skelton- Romanian Car.  I want to thank those who are planning special contributions at their church to help us in this effort.

May God's riches blessings be upon us all as we strive to serve in His kingdom!

In Him,

Lee Skelton
