Prayer Request from the Goracke's

Dear Family & Friends,

I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the response to my phone meeting from this past Friday evening concerning the financial support possibility that I wrote and asked you to be praying about. That Friday meeting extended into a second phone meeting on Monday morning, by which time I was able with the help of dear friends, to get our packet information into the hands of the considering party. After that meeting, like many of you, I waited as patiently as possible until I received a phone call from the considering party late this afternoon (Tuesday).

In answer to all of our prayers, this party has committed to a generous one time offering with the consideration of contributing even more in the future after a face to face meeting. So it is our plan to visit with this party soon and to attempt to arrange as many other meetings as is possible with other interested churches and Christians.

With the 19% decline of the value of the US dollar to the Singapore dollar, it requires us to raise additional support to meet our budgeted Singapore expenses. After the above mentioned generous contribution, I am glad to report that we are back to approximately 80% of our funds being supplied for the first year. We still need to raise an additional $1,242.00 monthly for the first year, but the second and following years estimate is even greater at a needed $3,158.00+ per month.

In spite of the high cost of living required for serving in Singapore, spiritually speaking, the "profit potential" that SIBI Singapore projects for investing in, training and equipping many, many faithful men with the Word of God from Singapore and all her surrounding nations, far exceeds the financial consideration.

We want to thank you for your consideration on our behalf as you lifted us and this financial support issue in prayer these past few days. May we request your continued prayers as we set our hearts toward serving the untold multitudes of Asia. We will continue to keep you informed of our progress as the events unfold.

Your fellow servant,
Tom Goracke
