Dear Family & Friends,
I found a little time to give a brief update on what is happening with Tamara Cook and other ministry events of this immediate time.
I am actually writing to you from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia once again! Why KL Malaysia??? Well, that has to do with Tamara and Charles Cook. Let me start with an update on Tamara...
The surgery was successful in the repairs needed to relieve the pre-surgery pain and she is now undergoing daily therapy and has even begun walking a little bit each day! She is still in the hospital, but might be released as early as next week! Once again, I thank you for your prayers on behalf of the Cook family. Tamara will need to continue therapy for the next three months from what Charles has reported, but nevertheless, she has been blessed by the God of all mercy and has been delivered from this painful trial.
Now, as to why am I back in Malaysia... I am in KL once again because Charles was scheduled to present a Servant Leadership seminar and a Gospel meeting starting this evening (Friday) with the Wangsa Maju church. Due to Tamara's health situation, we all knew he needed to be with his wife. So I committed to stand in for Charles. Besides the leadership seminar, I will be preaching a couple of lessons pertaining to the "Good News" and the "Resurrection" of Jesus. The "Good News" lesson will be given to an attending audience of university students as well as the church in hopes of reaching these students with the gospel. After preaching my final lesson on Sunday morning, I will return to Singapore to return to my work there.
Concerning the work in Singapore... For the past two weekends Gerald Paden has been busy teaching the Old Testament Sacrificial System course to those attending with the PP church in Singapore. During the weekdays, Gerald has traveled over to another SIBI branch school located in Indonesia. There he has been teaching a church growth course and the book of Ephesians. This weekend and next, starting today, Gerald will follow up the Sacrificial System study in Singapore with a study of the book of Hebrews.
That should bring you up to date in summary with the very recent details with our ministry.
With all the above mentioned information, you can hopefully understand the fury of activity and time spent in the last week alone.
As always, we remember you in our constant prayers and thank you for doing the same in behalf of this ministry.
Continuing to serve in and for Asia.... For Jesus,
Tom
