Update on Jorge del Bosque
7/7
Update for Jorge. He is still in hospital, meeting to see if he can go home. He is coughing up a lot of stuff, does not want a tube to help it go away, if something not done, he will probably suffocate on it.. it is down to the wire I think, so please pray, as I know all are doing, but pray for a peaceful transition as possible, he is surrounded by family and friends at all times, so he will go with someone holding his hand. Matt has been with him nonstop since Sunday afternoon, as well as Matt’s bro and Jorge’s family. The children and i are on our way now to see him... Thank you to all who have faithfully prayed for Brother Jorge... I will keep updated as I am able. Love to all...Alishia

He just returned from 4 Days in ICU, his liver and bodily organs were so swollen he couldn't breath. they were able to get the swelling down. he will know tomorrow if he'll be able to take another treatment or not. they decided to give him 1 5 hour treatment in the hospital every ten days and not to send him home with anymore (He isn't able to handle it all). we're not sure he'll be able to handle any of it at this point.
His brother Joel, and sister Julia will be flying in tommorow for a 5 day visit. also two elders from Franklin just called and said they desire to come for a few days and will be calling back after a meeting. Jorge has impacted many lives, as is made clear by all the calls, cards and contacts that have come our way.
He is doing well mentally, the only thing that frustrates him at this point is the waiting to go home, and meaningless, material conversations. his eyes are definitely set on Heaven now. It appears as though the cancer has progressed into his lungs now, so any phone calls should be kept short because it pains him to talk. however, he loves to hear from his fellow brothers and sisters. we spend most of our time these days sitting and speculating on how wonderful it will be to stand before God and be with all those faithful who are already there.
Please continue to pray for all of us during this trying time. i'll let you know what's going on as things progress.
Your fellow servant and brother in the Lord.
Matt Blaine
P.S. Tell Gerald Jorge speaks of him daily, and though bleeding from his nose he assembles, referencing Gerald's obstinance in teaching while struggling with his surgery.
