Melbourne Baptisms

Julian, Jozsef & Daniel Cseszko (sons of Jules & Elonie) were baptised into Christ by their father on Tuesday May 5.  They meet with the South East church.

At the West Heidelberg church, Jaydev and Janet Johnson were immersed into Christ on Tuesday June 2.

Perth Baptism

At 10:30pm on Monday, May 4, Ryan Conway and Anthony Resuggan were baptised into Christ by the Malaga church.

Camp Baptism

Highlight of the Youth and Young Adult retreat weekend at Cataract River Ranch was the baptism of Christopher Johnson. Much rejoicing and excitement followed Chris’ decision to give his life to Christ.

Teen Event

The next event for High School Teens is on Saturday June 20th at 6pm at the Warringah (Sydney) church. The theme is: “Heart of Revolution”.  Contact: Joshua Turner on  0403 881  602 or joshua.turner99@gmail.com.

Sydney Baptism

At the Warringah congregation, Ellen Yichen was baptised into the body of Christ on Sunday May 24. She had been studying English using the Bible on Wednesday evenings with Bob Marks.

Toowoomba Campaign

The Toowoomba (Qld) congregation invites workers for a door-knocking campaign planned for March 1-14, 2010.  It will be led by Rod Kyle from New Zealand.  Those interested can contact Michael Widderick at  churchofchrist@gotalk.net.au or at P O Box 213 Toowoomba Qld 4350.

Gaol Singing

Sixty-five people participated in the singing at the Old Maitland Gaol on May 22, organised by the Hunter Valley (NSW) church.

MSOBS Lectureship

This is planned for July 22-26 on the theme: “God’s Community in Our Community!” Special guest speakers include: Dale Hartman, Sheila Hartman, Randy Bullock and Carol Bullock. Dale and Randy are fellow elders at the Eastside, Midwest City church in Oklahoma, USA.

Youth & Young Adult Retreat

Over 60 youth and young adults attended the Youth and Young Adult retreat weekend at Cataract River Ranch from May 29th –31st. hosted by the Southwest (Sydney) church. The theme for the weekend was "Where Do You Turn?" with lessons challenging and encouraging the young people to turn to God when they face the storms of life, temptations and peer pressure. The speakers were Andrew Burns, Craig Peters, Jonathon Frank, Stephen Males and Roberto Quintanilla, who all did a terrific job. 

Youth & Young-at-Heart

Sam White spoke on May 31 at 5.30pm at the Warringah (NSW) on the topic of  “Childlikeness”.

William Solis is the speaker for the next event at 5.30pm on Sunday June 28.

YAYA for Yahweh

The Youth And Young Adults of the Melbourne churches enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship on 24 May.  They had a sausage sizzle, played sports at a park in Carrum, and finished up with a devotional on the theme, "I AM - we are because He is!"  It is planned to get together regularly, and the next gathering will be on Sunday June 28 in Heidelberg.  For further details contact Roger Donnelley on (03) 9440 6336. 

Ladies Retreat

The annual Women's Retreat conducted by the Malaga (WA) congregation will be on Thursday 23rd July to Sunday 26th July. 

Another Ladies Retreat

Mersey Bluff church of Christ in Devonport (Tas) is hosting their annual Ladies Retreat during 21st and 22nd August 2009.  The Theme is  “Where is Your Treasure?”  (Matt 6:21).
